The aim of International Service in Rotary is expressed in the
fourth Avenue of Service; namely, to encourage and foster the
advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace
through a world fellowship of business and professional persons
united in the ideal of service.
Freedom, justice, truth, sanctity of the pledged word, and respect
for human rights are inherent in Rotary principles and are also
vital to the maintenance of international peace and order and to
human progress.
International Service Committees

country assists a Rotary Club in another country with a Community
Service project.

Friendship Exchange promotes reciprocal visits between Rotarians in
different countries. Intercountry Committees link Rotarians in two
countries for mutual benefit. Rotary Recreational and Vocational
Fellowships foster friendship and service through common vocations
or hobbies.

Foundation Month (November) and World Understanding Month (February)
and occasional service emphases, for example, a United
Nations-identified international year.
